Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home
A stroll in the Gardens
It was a beautiful day when Bibesh and Kath were able to take a small group to the fantastic Minterne Gardens in Minterne Magna. Minterne House is the home of the Churchill and Digby families and has been since 1620. Home to the first Sir Winston Churchill, the present House was built in 1905 and still contains the original Churchill tapestries and furniture. A younger son from Sherborne Castle, Admiral Robert Digby bought the house and valley on a ‘walk-in, walk-out’ basis ensuring everything in the house was retained. Steeped in Naval history, Henry Digby was Captain of the ‘Africa’ during the battle of Trafalgar. Many letters, paintings and prizes from that time are still at Minterne. The sun was shining and love was in the air for one of our Trinity Manor couples as they enjoyed a wonderful morning in the sun.
The Great Trinity Manor Bake Off
Residents and Staff alike joined to showcase their culinary skills by serving up a storm for our ‘Barchy Bear’ Cake Sale in aid of the Barchester's Charitable Foundation and in support of our Managing Director, Natasha Lazovic, who is taking part in a Charity Cook off for the Barchester Foundation which takes place on the 29th of May. The events aim to raise awareness and funds for Barchester's Charitable Foundation, who do incredible work supporting vulnerable people and helping connect them to their local communities, combating isolation and loneliness. Natasha will be going head to head in some healthy competition with her fellow colleagues and on the day will have to cook a main course and a dessert, crafted from her own recipes, which will be judged on creativity and taste by members of Barchester’s Executive Team. We wish her the very best of luck.
90th Celebrations
We recently celebrated a very happy 90th birthday to our resident nurse, Anne. She was surprised by both her daughters and a choir from a local school who joined us all to celebrate her big day. Our talented chefs created a special chocolate cake for the occasion, which wasn’t around for long! We love to help celebrate our resident’s milestones here at Trinity Manor, be it a birthday or an anniversary. Come and speak to a member of the team to see how we can help you celebrate here at Trinity Manor!
Life's a Hoot!
We were lucky enough to get a meet and greet with a pair of beautiful Owls. Everyone enjoyed learning about these beautiful birds and the lives that they lead. A huge thank you to Owl Obsession UK for introducing us to your friends!
Senior General Manager, Sohail Daniel, said: "Our residents have really enjoyed their unusual visitors today. We knew that having the owls here would be a bit of fun for all our residents, and staff alike! We are always looking for new activities for the residents and today we have seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence of animals on people."
We look forward to welcoming more furry, and winged animals to Trinity Manor in the near future.
Trinity Manor On the Road
Once again we recently were out and about in our minibus with Bibesh and Kath, this time we went to a local Garden Centre which was enjoyed by everyone.
The group saw the beautiful range of flowers and tried on a selection of hats and shared in a good old fashioned cup of tea with friends!
