Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

MacMillan Cancer Support
Today, we held our coffee morning in support of Dr Dangerfield from The Grove Medical Centre. Dr Dangerfield is walking 26 miles in the Wye Valley on 9th September to raise funds and awareness for the amazing support that MacMillan Cancer Care provide.
We enjoyed fellowship and some beautiful cakes and bakes, whilst raising donations to help Dr Dangerfield’s efforts.
Indian Independence Day
Indian Independence Day marks the country’s freedom from British rule on August 15th, 1947. This joyous occasion is celebrated in India with patriotic fervour, flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural events and parades that showcase the proud country’s rich heritage and diversity.
We were all treated to the culinary delights from Ramesh, one of our Kitchen Assistants, who has become very famous for his Indian dishes that we are treated too. Along with our Chefs, Marcus and Liam, Ramesh transported us to India with a whole day of Indian cuisine.
On the menu today was;
Dosa, South Indian Crepe
Poori, an Indian unleavened bread
Ramesh’s famous onion Bhaji
Fulham Jamun
Biscuits Aplenty!
Memory Lane residents enjoyed making their own sugar biscuits as a sweet treat.
Everyone in the group got involved from choosing the shapes of the cutters, mixing the batter and measuring the ingredients. They enjoyed showing off their handy work at the evening meal as a sweet treat with the coffee and tea.
Beautiful Blooms
Our lovely ladies have been busy along with Kath, arranging some beautiful displays to be used across the home over the next few days.
The sweet smell of freshly cut flowers has been evident across the home and is a most welcome addition to our Dining and Lounge areas, thank you to our budding team of florists!
Gin Tasting Experience
We discovered a new selection of Gins collated from flavours inspired from around the world, which were selected by Laura our Activity Coordinator.
We tried a total of 6 different flavoured gins and the most favoured was Sicilian Lemon Gin. We had a wonderful afternoon in the cafe with Gin and nibbles.
National Ice Cream Day
To celebrate nation ice cream day residents were treated to a ‘classic 99’ or ice lolly from our friend Tracy and her marvellous ice cream van!
We were also thrilled to be able to join a session with renowned ice cream manufacturer Walls to discuss all things cold and creamy.
