Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.

Barchester Care Awards 2023
Earlier this year, the Barchester Care Awards celebrated excellence in the quality of care we provide, by recognising those individuals and teams that make a difference to the lives of the residents and patients we support.
There were over 3,975 nominations in 2023, with categories created to reflect the outstanding contribution in a whole variety of roles across the company.
Our very own Deputy Manager Paul was the South Division’s runner up in the ‘Learner of the year award’. This award is for an individual who exhibits enthusiasm and commitment to their learning and on-going career development.
Senior General Manager, Sohail Daniel said: “This is an amazing achievement and the whole home is delighted to learn that Paul was the runner up for the South Division. We are so proud of him and of all he does here in the home. Every single day he goes above and beyond his normal duties to support and help in all areas of our home as well as encouraging and supporting others to start their own learning journey”.
Christmas Carols
We were pleased to welcome Sherborne Girls to Trinity Manor as they joined us to sing carols for our residents and staff.
Beautiful singing and joyous faces were enjoyed by all who attended. A very Merry Christmas to you all.
Trinity Manor Turns 4!
This past week we celebrated the 4th anniversary of Trinity Manor opening its doors. Residents and staff gathered together in our Middlemarsh lounge as we celebrated four amazing years of serving our local community.
We were pleased to welcome, our Member of Parliament for West Dorset, Chris Loder MP who joined us for our celebrations, and shared in cake and bubbles.
Trinity Manor Celebrates Diwali
Diwali, or Dipawali, is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.
We were treated by an excellent performance of Bollywood Dancing, everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Traditional Bollywood dances were performed in front of Hindu deities and during the harvest season. The farmers would dance to thank their Gods for providing the right weather for their crops to grow. The mix of the worlds 'Hollywood' and 'Bombay' are what gave the dance style its name.
Lest we Forget
Our sincere thanks to Chief Petty Officer Stuart McAllister for representing Trinity Manor yesterday along with his wife, Activities Coordinator, Laura, who together laid a wreath of remembrance down at Sherborne Abbey yesterday.
'They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.'

Crafty Pumpkins
Activity Coordinator, Kath, has been busy crafting again on Memory Lane making some very colourful pumpkins.
They look so good we will use them to decorate our home during these autumnal moments and bring a smile and some cheer.
