Activities at Waterside Court Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Wonderful West End Show

Our residents were transported back to the 'Wonderful West End' during a performance a small troop from Tickled Pink Productions who showcased several short-story musicals from Rogers & Hammerstein, Cole Porter and Gershwin. We were captivated from the start, and enjoyed a good sing-along to songs from South Pacific, The Sound of Music, and Kiss Me Kate.

It was tremendous fun, with the performers quick costume changes and enthusiasm to entertain us all. Thank you so much for a super day Tickled Pink Productions

Cheese, Fizz and Classical Music

Our first birthday celebrations continued with a Wine, Cheese and Prosecco Afternoon relaxing in the lounge with a live performance of classical music from the King and Rackham Duo.

Residents and staff were treated to the soothing tunes from the duo as they enjoyed an array of cheese and nibbles alongside their choice of drinks courtesy of Chef Ladi.

Everyone had the opportunity to raise a toast to the home, and have a delicious slice of chocolate cake!

We're looking forward to the Waterside Court Garden Party in May when we can open our doors to all our Wallingford friends, family and the supportive local community.

The fellow residents of 'Amazing Mollie' gathered together to wish her the most beautiful of birthdays. She woke up to a pimped walker, courtesy of the care team and an array of cards and gifts from her friends and family.

Mollie's day was all planned, she enjoyed a wonderful surprise outing with her sister, son and family for Afternoon Tea which is one of her favourites things to do.
