Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Wheatlands Care Home
Chinese New Year Celebrations
We celebrated the Chinese New Year with fortune cookies, sweet and sour chicken, prawn crackers and beautiful dragon crafts. We all had a fun day.
Australia Day
We marked the national day of Australia in style with themed activities and traditional dishes. Our home was specially decorated for the occasion with flags and banners. It was a lovely day, enjoyed by all.
Mad Hatters Tea Party
We had such fun making crowns for our mad hatters tea party recently, with the residents choosing to make their own cups of tea…..just how they like it!
Much Wenlock Church Choir
We were treated to a visit from the fabulous Much Wenlock Church Choir on Christmas Eve, who serenaded us all with their beautiful singing. It certainly got us all in the mood for the festivities the next day!
Elvis' Birthday
We celebrated Elvis’s Birthday in style here at Wheatlands, with lots of singing and dancing along to our favourite songs from the King of Rock n Roll. We even had our own Elvis for the day!!
Virtual bingo with families
Residents enjoyed a virtual bingo evening with family and friends.
