Activities at Wheatlands Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Vicar Visit
After so long, it was so nice to have a visit from Reverend Matthew Stafford. It was such a beautiful service!
Teacher Appreciation Week
To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we dropped a basket of treats off at our local school. They work so hard and it was lovely for them to receive their well-deserved treats.
Family Reunion
We had such a special day when families joined us in the garden for the first time in a long while – this was for our residents and families meeting. Everyone had a lovely time; the look on their faces was priceless.
Museum Visit
We had a lovely trip to Much Wenlock Museum. It was so interesting to find out about the history of our beautiful town coffee and cake was served in the beautiful church gardens.
Photography Day
Residents enjoyed a trip out in the minibus to take photos of our beautiful countryside. It poured with rain but they didn’t care. They enjoyed coffee and cake in the minibus!
Round the World
Residents enjoyed around-the-world trip to Thailand. We started off with a gentle Thai exercise class, made paper flowers, spoke some Thai phrases and tasted some delicious fruit juices.
