Activities at Wheatlands Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Wheatlands Care Home
Barchy Bear's Rhyme Time
A local nursery visited our Barchy Bear Rhyme Time session, and there were plenty of smiles all round.
We are now rated 'Good'!
Some of our wonderful team raised a glass with their 'thank you' vouchers in celebration of our recent CQC inspection, where we were rated as 'Good'.
Seaside Day
Residents enjoyed a seaside day with an ice cream cart and fish 'n' chips in traditional paper.
Summer Fair
A brass band joined us for our annual summer fair. Due to the weather, we had to cram into our main lounge, but the event was still enjoyed by everyone who attended.
Beach Day
Staff and residents enjoyed a beach themed day at Wheatlands. Punch and Judy even made an appearance and there was lots of laughter!
A Bit of Gardening
Residents are always keen to help out with a bit of gardening here at Wheatlands.
