Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Wheatlands Care Home
National Chocolate Day
Residents and staff enjoyed a chocolate fountain and various sweet treats throughout the day to celebrate National Chocolate Day.
Valentine's Day Preparations
Love is in the air. Residents enjoyed making cards and hearts ready for Valentine’s Day.
Christmas at Wheatlands
Much Wenlock Male Voice Choir joined us for mince pies and mulled wine and sang some festive carols.
Wedding Bells
Staff and residents enjoyed a pretend wedding for one of our staff members, which included a sit down meal and entertainment.
Autumn Newsletter
Travel Time
Residents and staff took their monthly trip around the world to Spain. Staff dressed up and residents enjoyed a performance from the local belly dancers with some tasty Spanish food and drinks.
