Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Hi my name is Shayla and I'm the activities coordinator here at White Lodge.
Prior to taking the position, I joined White Lodge as care assistant in 2022 and loved every minute of my role. My passion is very much in supporting the day to day lives of the people we care for, it is important to me that our weekly calendar offers rich experiences with music from live entertainers, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining White Lodge that will make for an enriched activities program to be developed, one that keeps them at the heart of the local community. I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.

Garden Party 2024
It was Our Garden party at White Lodge. Thank you to Swindon Brass who joined us for the celebrations and put on a brilliant performance. A bit of retail therapy
We love a bit of retail therapy at White Lodge! We a wet day so couldnt get out in the sunshine so decided the best think to do was tea and cake and a bit of shopping in Swindon! We love seeing the residents getting out and picking new clothes and its always important to ensure we provide life enrichment opportunities every week in our home
Birthday Celebrations and Sunshine Fun
A great weekend for everyone at White Lodge. One of our residents, Peter celebrated his 80th birthday with his family in the home with a lovely cake, whilst our home was full of relatives and visitors making the most of the lovely weather outside.
Cadburys Celebrating 200 Years
Staff and residents at Barchester’s White Lodge were treated to an afternoon of nostalgia and delicious memories when they were joined by Cadbury archivist Sarah Foden and Brand Manager Connor Gould for a talk from the nation’s favourite chocolate brand on a virtual event
Pudding Club celebrates Mental Health Awareness Week
Our second Pudding club At White Lodge was a huge Success along side the Dementia Action Week…! It was a great team effort and most importantly, the residents enjoyed the day and puddings…!
Thanks to all the family members who made it to our pudding club and special thanks to our lovely volunteers at White Lodge. General Manager spoke about Dementia and introduced the Dementia Community team at White Lodge…! The Dementia Champion Spoke about the Seven Domains of Wellbeing….!
National Cocktail Day
World cocktail day!
Staff and residents at White Lodge Care Home enjoyed some tasty World Cocktail Day celebrations today!
Our residents had a brilliant time during the afternoon of cocktails and mocktails, with music playing in the background. We had quite a selection to choose from – Pimms and Lemonade, Mojito, Bucks Fizz, Summer Fruit punch and so many more!

Community Fish & Chip Club
Don't dine alone we're welcoming older people to join our residents on the first Friday of each month from 12.00 noon for some friendly conversation and a delicious meal.
