Activities at The Wingfield Care Home
Here at The Wingfield our activities team provide a varied and interesting range of activities for all residents. We are registered with the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and we take pride in delivering activities that will enhance residents lives and bring happiness and a sense of purpose. Our cooking activities are very popular, as well as the regular book clubs, coffee mornings, skittle matches and bus trips. We provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend activities and we have tea dances, musicians, quizzes, music and movement, as well as our giant scrabble board! But most importantly we have fun! Relatives are always welcome and there is always much laughter and smiling faces during our activities. We take pride in what we do and we continually strive to enhance residents lives through meaningful activity.

Life at The Wingfield Care Home
Employee of the Month - September
Our Employee of the Month for September is Care Assistant, Barbara Krezlewicz. Barbara is someone who takes her work very seriously and is always active in fulfilling residents' needs. She treats all residents as should would like to be treated herself.
Employee of the Month - August
Congratulations to Care Assistant, Lian Raquel Leus, who was named as Wingfield's Employee of the Month for August.
Lian was nominated because she is very kind and patient with the people we support and their loved ones. She is very good at using her initiative, hardworking and always wears a smile.
Valentine's Day
We celebrated Valentine's Day in style with romantic music from entertainer, Dave Dawson. Residents, relatives and staff sang and danced the afternoon away, and enjoyed a special Valentine's cake made by residents.
15 Year Service Awards
We have just celebrated 15 years of service from Funmilayo Fakayode and Betty Kushner, who both started working for us on 4th February 2002! A huge thank you to them both for all their hard work and commitment to the home.
Tropical Discovery
Residents were thrilled with the visit from Tropical Discovery Workshop; it was an exciting opportunity to hold many different species and learn about their origin and behaviour, hosted by the very knowledgeable, Kris Freeman.
Burns Night
Bob the Piper returned to The Wingfield to celebrate Burns Night. It was a fabulous afternoon with haggis, neeps and tatties - and let's not forgetting the whiskey!
