Activities at The Wingfield Care Home
Here at The Wingfield our activities team provide a varied and interesting range of activities for all residents. We are registered with the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and we take pride in delivering activities that will enhance residents lives and bring happiness and a sense of purpose. Our cooking activities are very popular, as well as the regular book clubs, coffee mornings, skittle matches and bus trips. We provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend activities and we have tea dances, musicians, quizzes, music and movement, as well as our giant scrabble board! But most importantly we have fun! Relatives are always welcome and there is always much laughter and smiling faces during our activities. We take pride in what we do and we continually strive to enhance residents lives through meaningful activity.

Life at The Wingfield Care Home
Real Bread Week
For the recent celebration of Real Bread Week, we tried a mixture of different breads and discussed which countries they were from, some of which were quite a surprise!
School of Dance
It was so lovely to receive this drawing from Amelia, who came to us with her school of dance to perform for residents.
Donkey Visit
Thank you to 'Mike's Donkeys', which brought some donkeys along to the home to say hello to all the residents. We don’t stop doing these things just because it's cold outside, especially when we have such well-behaved animals visiting us.
Pet Therapy
At The Wingfield, we are always welcoming visiting animals and especially our favourite PAT dogs, who stop by regularly. Pet therapy is good for everyone and it is such a great feeling when you see such huge smiles on residents' faces.
Alpaca Visit
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit from our friendly local alpaca, who came into The Wingfield to meet residents, staff and loved ones. He was very well-behaved and residents cannot wait for him to visit us again.
Time for a Cuppa
Alan Coutts, our local vicar, joined us for our ‘Time for a Cuppa’ event, which was hosted to raise money for Dementia UK.
