Activities at The Wingfield Care Home
Here at The Wingfield our activities team provide a varied and interesting range of activities for all residents. We are registered with the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and we take pride in delivering activities that will enhance residents lives and bring happiness and a sense of purpose. Our cooking activities are very popular, as well as the regular book clubs, coffee mornings, skittle matches and bus trips. We provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend activities and we have tea dances, musicians, quizzes, music and movement, as well as our giant scrabble board! But most importantly we have fun! Relatives are always welcome and there is always much laughter and smiling faces during our activities. We take pride in what we do and we continually strive to enhance residents lives through meaningful activity.

Life at The Wingfield Care Home
St George's Day at Wingfield
Residents and relatives joined us in the pavilion to celebrate St George's Day, with music from Pat Connor. The pavilion was packed to capacity, with everyone enjoying the atmosphere, the dancing and the food! Our local Tesco Extra came along to support us and brought lots of chocolates for our residents - thank you!
The art work was made by the residents, which decorated the pavilion. They made a very life-like St George, complete with his own dragon!

Easter Garden Creating
The residents had an amazing morning creating their own Easter Garden, and everyone got involved and thoroughly enjoyed feeling as though Spring was on its way.
Valentines Celebration
We all had such a wonderful afternoon with local musician Pat Connor playing romantic tunes on the keyboard. The Pavilion was decorated with hearts and lights to help give everyone that special feeling! There were sandwiches, fairy cakes and heart shaped marshmallows with chocolates!
Tropical Discovery Workshop
Residents at The Wingfield Lodge Care Home were thrilled by a visit from Tropical Discovery Workshop hosted by Kris. Residents had the opportunity to hold and touch a variety of snakes and animals as well as learning about their origin and behaviour. A fantastic afternoon!
