Activities at Wood Grange Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Ruby-Mae Walker
Hello, my name is Ruby-Mae and I am the activities Co-Ordinator here at Wood Grange.
My background is working in dance education and production as well as experience in the mental health care sector. I am extremely passionate about my role here in promoting life enrichment within the home and I feel privileged to work alongside such amazing people, and to be a part of our residents lives, spending quality time with them on a regular basis. I work alongside Louise to plan and organise daily activities to suit our resident’s needs, Louise and I are very enthusiastic about our roles and the resident’s well-being is always at the forefront of our minds.
I love to dance, keep fit by going to the gym and spending time with family.

Roller Ball Competition
Тaking our minds off all worries by holding a roller ball competition between the communities аt the home. I am happy to announce that our Willoughby community was the champion for the day, and look forward to holding on to their trophy at the next challenge.
Flower Arranging Session
This difficult time hasn’t stopped us here at Wood Grange. We are keeping ourselves busy, our residents enjoyed helping to keep the home looking cheerful with a flower arranging activity.
Live Music Performance
Team members and residents celebrated Resident of the Day while enjoying a live music performance by the singer, Niki. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the performance.
Zoo Lab Visit
Team members and residents enjoyed a visit from the Zoo Lab recently. One of our residents bravely held a reptile and enjoyed the experience.
