Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Christmas 2021

It was a month full of celebrations here at Ashchurch View with lots going on! Residents and staff had lots of fun with the Christmas photo booth as you can see from the photos! On top of all the Christmas celebrations, our resident ambassador continued to hold the weekly quizzes in our homes’ Café throughout December and we celebrated a number of birthday's too.

Gardening Club

Residents enjoyed doing gardening with our fantastic Gardener, Brendan,. Here are some photos of some plants that they have put together outdoors. Can’t beat a bit of fresh air and the wonderful colours of new plants.

Viva Espana

Our fantastic chef prepared a delicious Spanish-themed menu for our residents’ lunch; flavours were “interesting”, as a resident said whilst tasting the pork and chorizo.

We had a little party in the afternoon, by joining in with live music entertainment with Phoebe Appleby singing in our courtyard. Residents were particularly interested seeing the special Spanish dress that Phoebe was wearing for the occasion.

Memory Boxes

We've been decorating memory boxes for our Red Rose community.
