Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

St George's Day

We’ve celebrated St. Georges day in style. We welcomed back the fantastic Emily from Mini Concerts, and once again we had so much fun. It was certainly  a very lively afternoon with lots of dancing, fun, singing and clapping hands. Emily  had definitely sang the residents favourite songs.

Easter Egg Hunt

Stitch Story

We got out in our minibus to take part in the local community project “Stitch Story” embroidery at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury. Residents had the pleasure of adding their stitches to the history fabric piece that represented Tewkesbury Mop Fair. There are a variety of different fabric pieces, each one represent a different part or event that marks Tewksbury history; once all the stitching is completed, this will be a 8m long creation showing off the more well-known local events in thread. It was lovely to support and take part in this community project.

Gents Day Out

It was  a gorgeous sunny afternoon to enjoy a cup of tea and biscuits by the Avon River in Eckington; residents named it as a little picnic by the river. We are very lucky to have such wonderful views and relaxing parks nearby, where we can spend a relaxing afternoon and reminiscing. One of the residents mentioned that, the bridge is one of the oldest, and has also recently seen a documentary on television about it.

Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival

The team dressed up for the occasion; residents enjoyed watching the races throughout the week in the comfort of our home, and enjoyed the fun across the home.
