Activities at Cepen Lodge Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Summer Bash
Summer Bash at Cepen Lodge!
What a brilliant afternoon we had at our Summer Bash! It was an afternoon full of good food, great company and some brilliant entertainment.
A big Thankyou to Chippenham Fire Station and Chippenham Police Station who made the day special with their visit. Our residents and team and the community really enjoyed chatting with the teams exploring the fire engine and police car (and trying on the kit!!).
Thankyou to everyone who came and supported the day, with tombola games and the bids on our auction we have raised more money to support the work at Chippenham Community Hub.
Tour at Chippenham Firestation!
Some of our staff and residents recently went to visit Chippenham Fire Station for a tour of the station and engines.
We had a go at spraying the hoses, trying on hats and Dave even climbed in the fire engine.
We learnt lots about how to become a firefighter and what the job involves, and reminisced on what fire engines used to come equipped with years ago.
Huge thank you to Jack and his team at Group 2 for being so accommodating, and for such a fun afternoon!
We are looking forward to coming back again with some more residents.
Professional Breakfast
At Cepen Lodge we have recently hosted our very first Professionals Breakfast.
It was a great success and such a great opportunity to meet other organisations in our local community .
A big thank you to Home Instead, Age UK Wiltshire,Chippenham Fire Station, Right at Home Chippenham and CHS Healthcare for joining us.
It's always a pleasure to come together and share ideas will fellow groups to ensure that we are supporting our community and putting our best foot forward.
Chippenham Fire Services Visit
We had some special visitors recently at Cepen Lodge
We were excited to welcome Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service and the crew members from Chippenham Fire Station to our home of course it was complete with their truck in tow.
We had a very informative chat from watch manager Jack who talked about all the ways we can make sure we stay safe.
We even got invited to take a tour of the fire station in the near future.
Malmesbury Garden Centre Visit
At Cepen Lodge we are surrounded by beautiful garden centres and coffee shops.
So we decided to hop into the mini bus, and take a trip to the lovely Malmesbury Garden Centre. It was such a treat to walk around and look at all the different plants and flowers in full summer bloom.
Of course we couldn't visit without a pit stop at the Cafe. Coffee and cake is always a must on our trips out.
Regular outings are a key part of enriching the lives of our residents at Cepen Lodge.
Giving back to our community
The team at Cepen Lodge saw pleas for food donations in our local food banks, whose shelves were bare.
They needed support more than ever for families during the summer holidays. So Cepen Lodge have been collecting food for our local food bank Cafe Spero , who kindly came to collect our donations.
Our hamper in reception was filled to the brim with thanks to our local community. Our hamper is still in reception if anyone would like to donate to the local food bank and we will arrange to deliver these, anything you can spare is much appreciated to support our local community
