Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

An afternoon with The Chumlies

The residents at Cheverton Lodge enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with The Chumlies. The Chumlies are a local group of musicians who very kindly entertained with an array of music.

Thank you Chumlies, it is always a pleasure to see you.

Taking a trip down memory with Cadburys.

The residents and team at Cheverton Lodge spent a wonderful afternoon finding out more and tasting our favorite Chocolate brand Cadbury UK taking a trip down memory lane and hearing about their incredible 200 year history which was a great way to mark #DementiaActionWeek and reminiscence about the nation’s most loved chocolate.

They sent us a delicious hamper of chocolate goodies, which we all really enjoyed and we recognised the iconic Cadbury packaging from yesteryear which bought back many happy and chocolatey memories.

The Barchester Cook Off fund raising for The Barchester Charitable Foundation

We are proud share our Managing Director, Natasha Lazovic, is taking part in a Charity Cook off for the Barchester Foundation which takes place on the 29th of May.

The event is to raise awareness and funds for Barchester's Charitable Foundation, who do incredible work supporting vulnerable people and helping connect them to their local communities, combating isolation and loneliness.

Natasha will be going head to head in some healthy competition with her colleagues from the other divisions in the company and on the day Natasha will have to cook a main course and a dessert, crafted from her own recipes, which will be judged on creativity and taste by members of Barchester’s Executive Team.

We wish her the very best of luck and if you would like to support Natasha and give to this very worthy charity please use this link here to donate.
