Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Cossins House Care Home
New Year, New Goals!
One of our residents, Phyllis, has decided to set herself a new challenge for 2022 and to have a walk around our garden every day! Keep it up Phyllis!
Double celebrations
A wonderful Christmas Party Lunch at Cossins House with a celebration for our Ken who turned 100. Ken was delighted with his card from Her Majesty.
Ladies at Leisure
Residents at Cossins House enjoy having their nails done and relaxing with a hand massage. A little tipple of sherry too.
Getting ready for Christmas
Cossins House are getting ready for Christmas. We have been decorating our home with beautiful lights, Christmas Trees and designing our own Christmas Wreath. Residents knitted and crocheted their own decorations to put on our wreath. We are now ready to celebrate Christmas together.
Throwing Hoops
It was great afternoon throwing hoops. Residents challenged each other during a lovely afternoon, competing against each other. Resident John showed off his skills by winning with 8 points.
Remembrance Day
Residents at Cossins House had a lovely day remembering all those loved and lost. Residents were wearing their poppies. Residents spent time crocheting their own poppies and spent time reading war poems together.
