Activities at Edgbaston Beaumont Care Home
Our team pride ourselves in providing a wide range of activities and events to suit all of our residents needs. Comprising of art and craft classes, pet therapy, outside entertainers, visits from local schools where students attend and work alongside ourselves and the residents. We also have presentations on wildlife and other demonstrations, musicality and singalongs, quizzes, a poetry corner, knit and natter sessions, and one to one interaction, as well as trips out in the mini bus. For our residents who are less mobile we bring the shopping experience to the home for their convenience. We respect everyone's religious beliefs by providing visits from all denominations, such as Anglican, Catholic, working in conjunction with the local mosque and the Jewish community and providing religious interaction. We encourage our residents families to participate in all our activities, working alongside them to ensure we provide the best service possible here at Edgbaston Beaumont.

Celia Palmer
I’m Celia and I’m the Activity coordinator here at Edgbaston Beaumont. I previously worked as an activity coordinator in a hostel and am enjoying the shift into the residential setting. I have an arts background so enjoy painting and drawing in my spare time, which hopefully I can share my love for with the residents here. I also enjoy reading, travel, live music and looking after my cats! And copious amounts of tea.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Edgbaston Beaumont Care Home

Keeping Active
Keeping active, having social interactions and being mentally stimulated is very important to Residents at Edgbaston Beaumont. Residents took advantage of a fabulous interactive class with James Bickley Running.
As part of the homes life enrichment programme, we include firm favourites in the homes calendar with fun-filled adapted games that they played over the years in a safe environment!

A medley of hits with Tony
Residents lent their ears to an afternoon of music when popular vocalist and entertainer, Tony performed a medley of hits on his guitar which had everyone singing and toe-tapping along too!
Everyone was ready for a refreshing cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake and look forward to Tony visiting again soon.

Halloween
Here at Edgbaston Beaumont we got into the spooky Halloween spirit of things by creating an autumnal display and hosted a fun filled themed dinner with delicious Halloween inspired treats.
Some of our residents preferred to paint and decorate pumpkins and to dress up for the occasion, others got involved in themed quizzes and games, and enjoyed watching Halloween films. We all had a spooktacular time.

Raising the bar
We had so much fun this week when we turned the homes lounge into a pub where residents were able to enjoy a drink, played darts, dominoes and a game of pool. Some residents simply sat back and enjoyed the atmosphere chatting together with their drink in hand. As the afternoon progressed they enjoyed a fabulous sing-a-long!
We definitely ‘raised the bar’ and look forward to our next soiree together…..

Eyes down for a game of bingo
It was ‘eyes down’ for residents at Edgbaston Beaumont as they attempted to win a full house during a game of festive themed bingo, with activities the house caller!
Many of the residents have played bingo prior to moving into the home and bingo continues to be a popular game for the home as part of its life enrichment programme. There is lots of excitement in the air to see who will claim the prize!

Chocolate fountain treats!
Residents enjoyed a delicious chocolate fountain afternoon with our Head Chef, Pauline. There were lots of fruits and marshmallows to dip into the Fountain as an afternoon treat!
