Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Spring Fair 2024

Pictured is just a few of the stalls as everyone was setting up ready for the day. There were all sorts of wonderful items on sale and an abundant cake stall. We had a raffle and tombola with some wonderful prizes.  We raised £100 for our residents fund and £300 for Pawsative Pets Foodbank!

Falmouth Methodist Coffee Group visit Falmouth Court

We hosted 'Falmouth Methodist Coffee Group' for their monthly coffee afternoon. Each month they like to visit a new location and this one was particularly special as some of our residents were able to catch up with the group and old friends. Our chefs prepared an array of delicious cakes which went down a treat!

We look forward to welcoming the group back again in the future.

Nankersey Male Choir visit Falmouth Court

We were delighted to welcome Nankersey Male Choir to Falmouth Court recently to entertain residents and friends . Everyone enjoyed a short concert followed by a good old ‘singalong’. They of course closed the evening with Cornwall’s unofficial anthem, ‘Cornwall My Home’.

Our Residents thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful evening and we look forward to welcoming them back later in the year.

Easter Card Competition

So with the run up to Easter Hugh our Home Services Advisor dropped lots of Barchester Easter Cards to Constantine Primary School for all the children to join in with a colouring competition. Our residents had a wonderful morning looking through the 7 classes finished cards and choosing a winner from each one. Hugh then took a trip back out to Constantine Primary School armed with lots of Easter eggs for the winners and chocolate bunnies for everyone that took part.

Trip to Mylor Harbour

Hoping for better weather soon but we did not let the anticyclonic gloom stop us from taking a trip down to Mylor Harbour to Castaways for some delicious cakes and drinks last week. Our residents had a lovely afternoon talking about there lives and travels around the world.

Everyone is very much looking forward to the weather improving so we can take lots more trips out and about in our local community.

Did somebody say cake?

We took some of our residents up to Falmouth Golf Club to enjoy a coffee and some delicious cake whilst taking in the breathtaking views over Falmouth Bay. It's a favourite place for our residents to visit as the views always have so much to offer as the seasons change from winter tom spring.
