Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Chloe Collins
I have moved to Falmouth from Kent where I was already in place at another Barchester home as the Activities Coordinator. I love providing our residents with fulfilling activities and my specialty is arts and crafts. I have a degree in Fine Arts and achieved a first in the subject. I strive to provide our residents with a varied range of life enriching activities. I like to get to know each residents and their interests to I can tailor activities to individuals interests and hobbies.

Bobby Beautiful’s Quiz Night
Bobby Beautiful’s Quiz Night is always a hit with our residents and families!
Our Head of Maintenance, Bob always puts on a fantastic quiz evening to get our residents using their memory muscles.
We enjoyed a selection of wines and beers as well as pub style snacks prepared by our Activities Co-Ordinator, Karen who kept everyone well fed and watered.
Lots of laughs and jokes shared by all!
Shopping and Seaside
A trip to town shopping and a stroll along the harbour front! Nothing beats getting out on a sunny day and making the most of the winter sunshine
We are very lucky to have our home mini bus to get out and about either one to one or in groups. Our residents enjoy being able to remain active within Falmouth community and we take pleasure in supporting smiles like these
This particular lovely lady told us that she hasn’t had a trip to the shops in years before living at Falmouth Court and she felt delighted to be able to browse the shops once more
Inkfish Hair Salon Visit Falmouth Court
We were absolutely honoured to have the apprentices of Inkfish Falmouth hair salon come to pamper our residents.
The salon owner, Carla was kind enough to provide not just the styling and time of her team but also brought along some samples of product for us to try
A truly special treat and we are very grateful to the Inkfish team for their care and attention to our residents
Valentines Day 2024
We had a fabulous day on Valentine’s Day spreading Valentines love today with homemade heart biscuits from our hospitality team
We had a lovely day celebrating love and having a wonderful performance from Forget Me Nots Choir.
Our residents discussed what love means to them and we shared beautiful memories of loved ones past and present - a wonderful day
More Flower Arranging
Another wonderful afternoon of flower arranging here at Falmouth Court. It's a lovely colourful activity that our residents thoroughly enjoy. With a wonderful variety of flowers some outstanding displays were made which now fill the home.
Flushing Pantomime
Our residents were treated to a trip to the village of Flushing across the river to see the Pantomime! 'Oh no they weren't, oh yes they were'. Everyone had a fabulous time watching 'Puss in Boot's' and spirits were very high on the bus ride home.
Getting out into the local community and supporting local community events is a huge part of our ethos here at Falmouth Court. Helping residents maintain their hobbies and interests.
