Activities at Falmouth Court Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Here we have some wonderfully heartwarming pictures of a lovely trip to Gylly Beach last week for our residents. Our Activities team aim to run 2-3 trips each week so that everyone can enjoy a life enriching visit to one of Cornwall's many area's of outstanding natural beauty. Of course a visit to Gylly Beach Café afterwards was essential for everyone to enjoy a coffee and cake.
Trip to B&Q to buy Garden Supplies
Our Gardening Club have been out again in the minibus to B&Q to find some beautiful delights to plant in our lovely Garden. It's always a regular favourite excursion this time of year to go out to garden centres and such like to buy plants and shrubs to add to our ever growing Eden.

Another wonderful afternoon of flower arranging here at Falmouth Court. It's a lovely colourful activity that our residents thoroughly enjoy. With a wonderful variety of flowers, some outstanding displays were created which now fill the home.
Marks & Spencer Shopping Trip
Our ladies had a lovely bit of retail therapy this week with a much desired trip to Marks & Spencer in Truro. Everyone spent some time selecting lots of new garments with lots of laughs and joy as they went around. Everyone enjoyed a delicious coffee and cake in the café to round up the afternoon before heading home.
Charity Bingo Night
A huge thank you to Nicola from The Creature Feature Show Community Interest Company who came along to provide a bingo evening for our residents last week.
They thoroughly enjoyed the evening which then led to into a bingo evening open to our local community to come along. This was in aid of raising funds for Nicola's charity 'Pawsative Pets foodbank'. They raised £302 and also kindly gave a donation to our residents fund too!
Nankersey Male Choir visit Falmouth Court
Another wonderful visit from Nankersey Male Choir this week at Falmouth Court!
