Activities at Hall Park Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Natasha Lindo

Activities Coordinator

Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily.  We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Hall Park Care Home

Resident realises dream

Susan, a resident at Hall Park care home in Nottingham, had always wanted to join a choir and sing in a concert, so staff at the home made her wish a reality.  What’s more, it wasn’t just any choir! Susan joined and performed with Our Dementia Choir, the choir founded by Vicky McClure as part of a BBC One documentary back in 2018.

Susan has lived at Hall Park for just under 2 years and is beloved by staff and residents alike. Staff at the home were delighted to be a part of making her dream come true, as they knew how much it meant to her, and they all wanted to be there to see the smile on Susan’s face when she got to perform.

Serving Up for Wimbledon

Wimbledon is here!

To celebrate Britain's favourite Summer sport, at Hall Park we enjoyed watching the tennis on TV and playing our own version balloon tennis, all finished off with a lovely glass of fruity Pimms punch, and of course strawberries and cream.

Our residents Lilla and Doreen fully enjoyed prepping the ingredients for the punch and cutting the strawberries to share out with our residents. A great time was had by everyone!

Glenda's Haircut Wish

Every day at Hall Park we have a ‘resident of the day’ where the staff focus on the residents clinical care, also the day gives our residents a chance to feel special. For instance, they are asked about any wishes or ambitions from activities team and are treated to a special meal of their choice by the homes chef!

Glenda asked for a haircut at the barbers, so Natasha from the activities team took her into Bulwell to ‘Dana’s Barber Shop’ and as you can see from Glenda’s big smile she was so happy with her haircut!

Sunshine Garden Visit

We had the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful sunny day at Bulwell Forest Gardens, where we enjoyed a lovely walk around the gardens and a freshly cooked meal with produce grown in the gardens.

Residents Lorna and Dorothy were in their element while looking at the different areas of the gardens, such as the medicinal section where we picked some herbs to take back to our kitchen for the chef to use.

Thank you to the cook Riza and all the volunteers for such a lovely meal. Again everyone cleared their plates and fully enjoyed their food!

Our NHS is 75!

Yesterday, we joyfully marked the Birthday of the NHS by hosting a memorable celebration filled with delightful activities and lots of delicious treats for any visiting professionals at Hall Park.

As a gesture of our deep appreciation for their unwavering commitment and support, we thoughtfully assembled goodie bags filled with homemade sweet and savoury treats, which we distributed as a team to our local hospital, Nottingham City Hospital, and GP surgery.

Additionally, both residents and team members took the time to express their gratitude by writing and sending out heartfelt thank you cards to the dedicated social and healthcare professionals in our community. We all had a wonderful time.
