Activities at Hall Park Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Natasha Lindo
Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily. We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Life at Hall Park Care Home
Day at the Fire Station
What a fun afternoon we all had! In honour of International Firefighters Day on 4th May, some of our residents had an amazing time travelling in our minibus all the way to Stockhill Fire Station, where we met some of the lovely team who work there.
We were shown what happens when a call comes into the station, and we were told all about the various suits and uniforms that they wear for different scenarios. We were also given a tour around the fire station and got to see all the tricks of the fire truck!
We all had a fantastic time and would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Stockhill Fire Station - we really appreciate everyone taking the time out of their busy day for us.
Coronation Celebrations
Excitement is in the air at Hall Park Care Home in Bulwell where residents and staff have been celebrating the Coronation and ‘The Big Help Out’ that was celebrated across the country on May 8.
Staff and residents at the home put their heads together and came up with a plan for their celebrations fit for a King. Over the bank holiday weekend the home held their version of The Big Coronation Lunch, with an official coronation of their own for residents Danny and Lorna, and a royal visit from Bulwell Community Toy Library. Toy Library, along with children aged 0-4 years and their parents, completed a mini royal parade around Bulwell dressed in their crowns and royal themed outfits, finishing their walk at Hall Park for stories, songs and rhymes with residents.
Resident centred activity
Not only for our residents but for the staff, as it gives us a chance to get know one of other also it’s person-centred care which helps to ensure people with dementia can take part in the things they enjoy and Edna fully enjoyed be creative and talking about all the things she love such as gardening and her family with Natasha our activities coordinator.
The wait is over!

A step back in time
Our residents at Hall Park enjoy their regular reminiscing sessions, looking back at old cars and ladies clothes catalogues brings back so many memories for them, which they love to share with everyone. It is also a great way to interact during a one to one session.
Alan enjoyed looking at the British Cars book and said “he has always dreamed of owning a Roll Royce car”
