Activities at Hilton Park Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Jenelyn Szabo
Hello, my name is Jenelyn and I am the head of activities here at Hilton Park.
Having started my Barchester journey as a carer back in 2019, I have gained good experience of working closely with our residents. After being a carer I then moved onto the Activities team and thoroughly enjoyed working as an Activities co-ordinator, which led to my promotion to Activity Lead.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on our residents faces.

Life at Hilton Park Care Home
Bingo & Barchester Rocks
Children spent the day at Hilton Park & Oaklands helping residents with the morning bingo session. Residents always welcome children into the home and they thoroughly enjoy interacting with the younger generation.
In the afternoon, the children painted rocks with the residents, and had great fun doing so. The children enjoyed lunch in the garden and each one took a certificate home with them, which they proudly showed the residents.
Pre-Valentine's Afternoon Tea
Residents from Hilton Park Care Home gathered together for a pre-Valentine’s afternoon tea in the Trinity Unit. They enjoyed good conversation on various topics and a delicious tea that was freshly prepared by our catering team. We would like to remind you that Trinity Afternoon Tea is held on the first Wednesday of every month at Hilton Park.
Art Exhibition
People think when you go in to a care home you have to give everything up, but we have shown that it doesn’t have to be like that, as resident, Rosalie, had a second art exhibition right here at Hilton Park. We are proud to inform you that all her paintings are for sale and all proceeds will go to Help the Children.
