Activities at Juniper House Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Juniper House Care Home

Pride in our diversity

Juniper House care home joined with other Barchester homes in Northamptonshire to support Northampton Pride Festival last weekend. We had a stall promoting Barchester’s person-centred approach to meeting the diverse support needs of people in later life. It was a fun day on the Market Square with food, games, music and lots of colour.

Tie Dye Crafting

At Juniper House, we have been trying some new crafting activities and, most recently, we had a go at creating some bright & colourful tie dye prints for a special themed day we have in the diary.

Holy Communion

We welcomed Rev Rich Duncan from St Peters Church for a Holy Communion service & spiritual reflection. Residents' individual personal beliefs and wishes are always respected and supported through activities.

We have dedicated areas for residents to have the space to worship with friends or privately if they choose, to help stay connected with their faith.

Sensory Crafting

Residential & Memory Lane communities enjoy sensory & creative Tuesdays at Juniper House. Residents recently made butterfly & flower shapes using air dry clay, helping to keep hands busy.

British GP Weekend

Ahead of this weekend’s British GP at Silverstone, residents at Juniper House hopped on board the mini bus to wish their friends at Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team all the best & good luck for Sunday.

We will all be cheering you on! Thank you Mercedes for being so accommodating; residents were thrilled with their photos of Lewis Hamilton & Valtteri.

Scarecrow Festival

Juniper House residents & staff are proud to have taken part in this wonderful community project celebrating the Brackley Scarecrow Festival.
