Activities at Juniper House Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Juniper House Care Home

Christmas Carols!
As the festive season approaches one of the most beloved traditions that brings families and friends together is the joyful singing of Christmas carols.
This year the warmth of the season was felt even more profoundly as we was lucky to have St peter's Church come in to hold a carol service for us at Juniper House. Some of the traditional carols we sang were away in a manger, Silent night and the final one being We Wish you a Merry Christmas.
Some prayers were read out too.
Not only did this lift our spirits but it reminded everyone of the greatest gift of all, which is the joy of being together. Here's to many more years of carolling and community joy, celebrating the magic of Christmas that unites us all.

Celebrating World Kindness Day
A sweet Community Gesture.
Today at Juniper house Seema,Ty, Naomi.C, and Naomi.H came together to celebrate
World Kindness day, a moment dedicated to spreading love, compassion, and positivity.
Inspired by the spirit of this day, we took to the community with a mission, to make people
smile with a simple gesture that resonated deeply in our heart.
Armed with chocolates and roses, we set out to shower our community with kindness and the experience was nothing short of uplifting.
As we walked through the streets, our hearts filled with anticipation, the plan was simple:
hand out chocolates and roses to passers-by, engage in light hearted conversations, and
share the smiles that would inevitably follow.
Each chocolate was not just a treat, but a token of appreciation, a small reminder that someone cares.
Seeing people smile truly made our day. It was a refreshing reminder of how a simple act,
whether a kind world, a compliment or a thoughtful gift, has the power to alter a person’s
perspective, even if just for a moment.

Golden Leaves and pumpkins!
As the leaves turn golden and the air becomes crisp, the arrival of autumn brings with it a much-anticipated tradition, pumpkin carving!
This year, the excitement reached new heights thanks to the generous donation of pumpkins from Tesco, making it possible for our community to come together in festive spirit and creativity.

Autumnal Days
A beautiful autumn drive in the minibus.
As the season of transition unfolds, autumn emerges as a spectacle of colour and transformation.
This season is the perfect time to embark on a journey through nature. Where changing of the trees serve as a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us.

Pop up shop
A wonderful afternoon at Juniper House. Paul brought his pop up shop to us.
Everyone was very excited to go along after lunch to see what Paul had brought . Lots of shopping done and some very happy ladies by the end of the day.

Harvest Donation
In preparation for our harvest donation, we engaged with our local food bank to understand their needs and best ways to support their efforts.
Food bank plays a critical role in our communities, serving as a vital resource for individuals and families who struggle. Many people find themselves in challenging situations.
By engaging with the local food bank, we are not only providing nourishment but also fostering a sense of connection and solidarity within our community.
The volunteers expressed their gratitude, knowing that this contribution would help provide to those who need it most.
Elizabeth was amazed to see how it all works.
