Activities at Kenwyn Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Chloe Alcock
Chloe loves bringing creativity into our home and making our residents smile. Whether she's engaging residents with her artistic flair or simply brightening their day, Chloe is always finding ways to connect with those around her.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find her cozy under her favourite blanket with a cup of tea, crocheting or playing video games.
Chloe has a passion for animal care which led her to volunteer at Shepreth Wildlife Park, where she worked with red pandas, lemurs, and coatis. She’s also an award-winning artist, having earned the Royston Art Society’s Young Artist Award, and studied Game Art at Falmouth University, She brings a wealth of creativity and skills to our residents.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Kenwyn Care Home

Our Gents enjoy a trip to the salon just as much as our ladies do!
Everyone loves a trip to Kenwyn’s Salon!
Tracey our hairdresser always has a queue of ladies waiting for her, but as it happens, our Gents enjoy a pamper just as much as our ladies do!
Here you can see our much loved resident Ron. Ron was thrilled with his new cut and said that Tracey is doing a wonderful job.

Musicians and Cockney Classics on a trip down Memory Lane
We had the wonderful Phillip and Anne Wright entertain our residents with a fun filled sing-along morning which was enjoyed by all! Phillip, a music teacher, and Anne had everyone singing along to a variety of songs including Cornish and Cockney classics. What an enjoyable morning!

July's Community Dementia Cafe was another huge success
Rain or shine, our monthly Dementia Café was an absolute blast! The weather couldn't stop us from having a fantastic time as we brought the picnic and garden games indoors. Laughter and smiles filled the room as our amazing residents, along with their loving family and friends, enthusiastically joined in on skittles, mini-golf, tennis, dancing, and even a parachute game! It was truly a day full of joy and wonderful memories!

Ken from Sounds are Us
We had another entertaining day here at Kenwyn as Ken from "Sounds Are Us" filled our hearts with joy and our souls with music as he strummed his guitar, creating an enchanting atmosphere for our residents and their families who joined. The smiles on their faces said it all - they had an absolute blast, singing along and swaying to the rhythm.

Residents show their creativity with a flower arranging class
Our hallways and residents' rooms were transformed into a breathtaking summer garden yesterday! We spent the afternoon immersed in the art of flower arranging, creating enchanting bouquets with the most exquisite seasonal blooms. Each arrangement is a reflection of the individuality and beauty of the residents who lovingly crafted them. We had a wonderful time celebrating the beauty of nature and the creativity it inspires in us!
