Activities at Kings Park Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

The Creature Teachers
We absolutely love a visit from our furry and scaly friends at The Creature Teachers! Their dedicated human team, Jade and Lisa, are also always welcome as they give us so much information about each animal including what their natural habitats are and what they love to eat for supper!
From Kingsley the snake to Percy the rabbit, every resident was enthralled with the information and delighted with the opportunity to get close and personal with each lovely animal.
Thank you Jade and Lisa, and all of your amazing animals for a detailed, informative and very enjoyable afternoon!
Baking Day
Who doesn’t love a home made cookie, hand decorated with love and style?!
Cooking and baking is always a popular activity here at Kings Park and our Chefs are always happy to lend a hand to ensure residents enjoy themselves.
Whilst decorating them, we chatted about what meals and desserts our residents used to cook and bake for their families and it turns out we have several ‘Mary Berry’s’ who love cooking!
Happy Birthday Vera!
Happy Birthday to our Lovely Vera, who is 95 today.
Our Chef, Sarah, found out that Vera’s favourite cake is Chocolate and so made the most scrumptious and chocolate filled cake with cherries and almonds!
Vera was surprised and delighted with the cake and very pleased to have her daughter with her to celebrate.
Happy Birthday Vera!
Friday Wind Down
With Storm Eunice blowing a hooley outside, we were entertained by singer Hannah with songs from all our favourite musicals and films!
It was lovely being cosy around the fire and having a good old singsong on a Friday afternoon.
Wiggle those toes!
It’s so important to keep our joints and muscles active, especially when the weather outside is so wet and blustery.
To keep us moving, we had a lively exercise class with Julie today who had us on our toes and waving our arms in the air to some of our residents’ favourite songs!
Following the activity and over a lovely cuppa with a piece of cake, we had a chat about what sorts of exercises we used to do when we were younger. Sounds like we have some potential marathon runners in our midst!
What wonderful neighbours we have!
A big thank you to local residents Brian Humphries and his wife who have very kindly presented our Memory Lane residents with an electric piano and organ!
Gina was the first to play a few notes and have a dance once it was all set up and we know all our residents will find much enjoyment from having it close at hand to play at anytime.
Thank you Mr & Mrs Humphries
