Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Enjoying the Spring Sunshine
We are making the most of this beautiful spring weather here at Moors Manor! How lovely for residents, families and staff to be outside in our beautiful garden! We even managed to arrange some of the daffodils for our table decorations!!

Moors Manor 4th Birthday Party
Well we sure know how to put on a party here at Moors Manor.
Staff, residents, families and the community were all here to help us celebrate our 4th Birthday party here at Moors Manor. We had local Mayor of Ferndown Councillor Terry Cordery to welcome everyone, entertainer Bee Chumley Vocalist perform a variety of songs which had everyone singing and dancing along and Mr Pop's Balloons worked the room with his wonderful balloon displays making lots of different requests from animals to flowers to boats! Guests also enjoyed a cream tea and were able to toast the occasion with a prosecco as well.
Thank you to everyone who came along to help us celebrate!! Here is to our next year here at Moors Manor.

Andy performs with his accordion
We welcomed back the marvellous Andy with his accordion to perform to everyone in the home. Andy took us on a journey around the world with the songs he performed which had everyone singing along. Afterwards Andy then visited a couple of our residents in their rooms to perform to them which they all absolutely loved.
Residents do love Andy coming to visit us and look forward to the next time.

Minibus outing to Ferndown
Our ladies enjoyed an outing with something that us ladies do best and that is of course shopping!! June, Lynda and Susan enjoyed an outing to Ferndown to look around the shops and what made it even better was that sun was shining as well.

Minibus outing to Poole Park
Residents Alan, Jenny, Rita and Veena made the most of the lovely sunshine we have been having and had a wonderful trip to Poole Park. They had a lovely walk around the park and then finished off the trip with a stop in the café for a hot drink and cake. Everyone enjoyed having the lovely sunshine on their faces and are looking forward to the warmer seasons coming soon.

Minibus outing to Stewarts Garden Centre
Residents enjoyed a minibus outing to Stewarts Garden Centres in the Wimborne where they were able to have a look at all the wonderful plants and especially the spring bulbs which one resident Rita decided to buy some to be able to put outside her patio door.
