Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Moors Manor Care Home

Board games fun
Resident's had a fun morning of being rather competitive with one another over some of the classic board games. Residents were able to choose from Ludo, Snakes and Ladders and Uno! There were no clear winners but everyone all enjoyed themselves and had fun spending time together with friends.

Moors Manor Pantomime "Cinderella"
Residents and staff were in for a treat as staff put on the pantomime performance of Cinderella (oh no they didn’t- oh yes they did!) Residents enjoyed the timeless tale full of magical twists, fun, laughter and adventures.
One resident commented; “it was the best pantomime production I have seen in years, the actors really made me laugh!”
Here are just a few photos for you all to enjoy, can you recognise the members of staff!!

Creating clay ornaments
Residents enjoyed an afternoon getting creative and making clay ornaments. We went to the garden first to pick some leaves and foliage and then rolled these onto the clay to make imprints. Residents really enjoyed making something a little bit different to keep.

Steve Linn entertains
We had the wonderful entertainer Steve Linn come in today to entertain everyone in the home. He sang a variety of songs that had everyone signing, clapping and dancing in the home. Music brings so much joy to everyone here and we always enjoy Steve coming to the home and look forward to when he comes in again.

Baking Club
Residents love their baking club and this time we made yoghurt bark. Residents had fun chopping up and adding the fruit and chocolate to the yoghurt bark. Later on they all got to enjoy them with a cup of tea and of course had a good knatter as well.

Knit and Knatter club
Our ladies do love the knit and knatter club that we have in the home. It's a great excuse for everyone to come together to do a hobby that they have done for many years and also see how everyone is and catch up on the gossip too. We look forward to seeing what our ladies create with their knitting as the year goes on!
