Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Picnic and Games
Such a fun & fabulous morning with the amazing Poplar Farm School, visiting Newton House for a fun picnic & play session.

With connect 4, football, target game, giant dominoes & lots more, the garden was full of laughter & happiness.
Whilst we went indoors due to a little shower, we were treated to a very special performance of “We’re going on a bear hunt”
Catherine said “that was very special to see”. It was then time to head back outside for a picnic time before we finished the session with more fun & games. The joy on our wonderful residents faces, was just so beautiful to see & it’s fair to say that they are very much looking forward to seeing them all again
Charity Cook Off
Staff and residents are celebrating because their wonderful Managing Director, Fiona Fagan, from Barchester’s North East and Scotland Division, has stepped completely out of her comfort zone to compete in the Barchester Charitable Foundation Cook Off 2024.
Fiona went head-to-head with the Managing Directors from Barchester’s four other divisions and cooked up a storm to raise a phenomenal £24,595 for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation which helps connect vulnerable people and those living with a disability to community groups in their local area by providing grants to improve mobility and quality of life.
