Activities at Orchard House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

On a Different Note

On Friday 11th May, we were visited by Toni-Sue, who came to sing jazz music for the residents. Each time she visited, Toni-Sue performs a different theme and always brings a little gift for them each, which never fails to puts a smile on their faces.

Busy Bees

On Wednesday 2nd May, we enjoyed an afternoon visiting Busy Bees in Ryde. We took a nice drive along the downs, as the views are so lovely there, which everyone appeared to enjoy doing. We then arrived at Busy Bees, where we took a walk around, looking at all their lovely items. We rounded of the trip by visiting their café, where we all enjoyed a drink and slice of cake.

C is for 'Cake'

On Tuesday 1st May, residents baked Eccles cakes together, which they all enjoyed greatly. We have a lot of residents who really look forward to baking, which we ensure is done on a regular basis. We also had Shannon, one of our volunteers, join us on the day to offer support for residents when needed.
