Activities at Parley Place Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Brian Ramsay
I love being a friendly face for our residents. A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities. We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Parley Place Care Home
Raffi visits!
We welcomed the gorgeous Raffi into the home, the sun was shining so we joined together in the garden to say hello to him and enjoy some tea and cakes!
Scottish Dancers
We welcomed some Scottish Dancers into the home yesterday, they came in to thank our resident Bob who used to be part of their club for the donation of his kilt to them.
We had a fabulous afternoon dancing and listening to the accordion.
Ice Creams all round!
What else to do on a beautiful summer day than call the ice cream van to come round! Sharon's Ice cream Van's obliged us and called in on us this afternoon, residents and the team all had a lovely treat on this gorgeous day, we sat in the shade of the garden enjoying our ice creams, it was a perfect afternoon.
Setting Sail!
We set sail yesterday with our friends on the Dolphin III boat, sailing from Poole Quay round the bay towards Brownsea Island and back. The weather was lovely and it was so nice to be on the water - we were even taught a bit about nautical navigation!
Coffee Morning
Some of our ladies joined together this morning for what was going to be a game of scrabble but after chatting for half hour they decided to give up on the scrabble and just put the world to rights instead!
D Day 80th Anniversary
We had a wonderful afternoon yesterday commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the D Day Landings.
It was the perfect balance of remembrance and celebration, starting with a moving, poignant service from Reverend Booth from St Marks and All Saints West Parley through to entertainment by Nicole Young. Of course there was sandwiches, cakes and plenty of tea and coffee flowing!
With thanks also to West Parley Memorial Hall for helping on the day, we love working with you all and thank you for your continued support of our home.
