Activities at Reigate Beaumont Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising and delivering a fun mix of activities and events chosen by the residents here at Reigate Beaumont. We work closely with the local community who get involved in all kinds of activities within the home. We enjoy all kinds of events which could be anything from trips out to local places of interest in our minibus or visits from entertainers and musicians, spending time in our beautiful gardens, or providing great activities for the mind body and soul. We liaise with local churches and regularly hold multi-congregational services at the home.
It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and invite them to our regular events. We also have a variety of volunteers who really enjoy spending time within the home too.

Hi, my name is Vanessa, and I am proud to be the Activities Coordinator here at Reigate Beaumont. My role is not just about planning activities and enhancing the lives of our residents and creating a vibrant, engaging environment for them.
Every day, I strive to ensure that our residents feel valued and included. I organise a variety of activities ranging from arts and crafts to music therapy, and connecting with the local community.
These activities are designed to promote physical health, social interaction, emotional wellbeing. What I love about most is witnessing the joy and connection that these activities bring. With our wonderful staff, families and volunteers is essential in tailoring activities to meet unique needs and desires of each resident. Together, we build a sense of community and belonging.

Life at Reigate Beaumont Care Home
Lazy Bank Holidays!
Sometimes our days can be so busy with so much going on that is so nice to just relax and chat with other residents on a lazy Bank Holiday. So we chose some relaxing soft music and got on with it. Easing into the week with a bit of 'Mindfulness with Michele'. The theme for our Arts & Crafts Club was a bit of relaxing colouring in with Michele, our lovely receptionist. I wonder though...was there more colouring or chatting going on? One thing is for sure, there was delicious cake & tea this afternoon in our patio garden!
Pilates with Jacquetta!
At Reigate Beaumont, one of the favourite activities for residents to attend is the weekly Pilates class led by Jacquetta. Even though the class is a seated one, residents can improve their posture, joint mobility and can strengthen their core. This also gives residents a chance to relax and refocus their minds on their bodies. Jacquetta says: "It has been exciting and so delightful to see the improvements in the resident's mobility due to the regular attendance of the chair Pilates classes, together with their unwavering enthusiasm. They often surprise themselves with their range of movement and their flexibility! These classes are also a wonderful opportunity for residents to get together and to enjoy each other's company while hopefully lifting their spirits as they listen to engaging music, which they can often reminisce to! We all have a chat at the end and catch up with news about their families."
Just because we can!
Afternoon tea party in our glorious blossoming patio garden. Our residents and staff enjoyed a lovely afternoon of delicious tea cake delights, thanks to our fabulous Senior Head Chef Roman and his team. A few relatives that popped in asked what special event this was, and our reply was 'Just because we can'. The weather was stunning and we had great company! Our staff love to engage with residents during activities and what a perfect day to do just that. We listened to our favourite music, sang along to songs and some even danced! Great enthusiasm from our team!
Air Ambulance Charity!
Reigate Beaumont residents and staff visited the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex to meet some of the team and to hear about the fantastic work that they do. The Air Ambulance Charity KSS operates 24/7, 365 days a year. If there is a life-or-death call, they bring specialised doctors, paramedics and treatment to the scene, fast. Every day, they respond to on average of nine calls a day, giving people the best chance of survival and keeping families together. And they can reach any part of Kent, Surrey or Sussex in under 30 minutes. Without funding, they cannot get off the ground and therefore cannot save lives. A huge thank you to Mike, a paramedic and to Rachel, the Community Fundraiser for Surrey, for a warm welcome and for showing us around. Special thank you to Jo, our volunteer for arranging such a fantastic outing for our residents.
Happy Moments!
It has been one of those days where you look back and say...how lovely and wonderful to see such happy children. Baby Boppers by Bella & Boo joined residents for an afternoon of music and fun with mums and their little ones. We laughed, smiled and enjoyed the company of mums and their babes. Every month we welcome Sam and her members to our home to spend time with our residents engaged in activities. There is just something about seeing smiling happy children that lifts the soul. Don't you think?
Family Fun Day!
When everyone just gets together and spends their time having FUN! Rain or shine! From playing giant games, listening to Grace Gardner sing, to toddlers on the soft play, joining in a baby class by Baby Boppers by Bella & Boo, to meeting our local PCSO officers from Reigate and Banstead Beat (Surrey Police). Delicious ice cream, burgers and hotdogs, cupcakes and cakes. Just a lovely afternoon of family and fun. Absolutely wonderful to welcome Deputy Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead Cllr Mrs Sue Sinden Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead to our home.
