Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Remembering Queen Elizabeth II
Today residents and staff paid our respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The whole home came together to honour the Queen, her extraordinary life and service to the nation and Commonwealth for her reign of 70 years.
Everyone at the home watched the televised service of the State Funeral that took the place in Westminster Abbey, followed by the Committal Service in St. George's Chapel, on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
After the official ceremony we had Tea and Cakes and a discussion about our much loved and respected Queen, her early life and numerous milestones. We all shared a memories of her and reminisced about her extraordinary reign and contributions to our country.
Alzheimer's Day
To mark this special day our home residents and staff planted a Tee to remember those who are affected by Alzheimer’s and those who are no longer with us. It truly was special moment and one that we will all remember forever as the beautiful Tree grows!
Home Superstar celebrates 20 years at Ritson Lodge
Celebrations were in order at Ritson Lodge Care Home in Hopton-on-Sea as Jo Dunlop the Home Administrator marked her 20th year working for Barchester Healthcare.
Siobhan Fennell General Manager said, “Jo really is exceptional at what she does – she remembers everything and everyone and really is a superstar! Congratulations on this amazing achievement Jo and thank you for all your hard work – it is a delight to have you in our home team!”
The home organised a surprise party for Jo complete with a celebratory Cake and Fizz. And Jo was also presented with a £250 voucher from Head Office, an Anniversary Service Pin Badge and a beautiful bouquet of Flowers too!
