Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Golden Bunny Competition
Over the Easter Bank Holiday the team from Ritson Lodge hid dozens of chocolate Easter Bunnies all over Hopton to see who would discover a special Easter treat!
Casey was our Golden Bunny Winner as she found a bunny, posted it to Facebook and had the most liked photo over the Easter weekend! Well done Casey!
Did you spot our Golden Bunnies over the weekend?
Easter Fun
We had a great Easter Bank Holiday at Ritson Lodge with an Easter Egg hunt, live music, decorating the home and garden and creating Easter cards for loved ones.
We enjoyed a sunny Easter Egg hunt through our beautiful gardens before having a party with live music from one of our favourite singers. We've made fantastic Easter cards and also received some from the local schools. And, of course, we've enjoyed plenty of chocolate and hot cross buns!
Employee Of The Month
Congratulations to Sue for being nominated as Employee Of The Month.
Resident Derek, amongst others, nominated Sue because of the wonderful work she does at Ritson Lodge. Sue is a fantastic member of the team who goes well beyond supporting with activities.
Sue is a firm favourite of the residents and her energy is always welcome.
Thank you and well done Sue!
Community Champion Winner
Ritson Lodge recently presented its latest Community Champion winner with their prize.
We congratulated winner Kinsey Foster for being voted winner of the home’s annual Community Champion competition. Kinsey was presented with a certificate as well as a hamper of goodies by the Activities Coordinator Rita.
Kinsey is the owner of the @WoodworksArtCafe in Lowestoft which provides art and craft sessions aimed at improving mental wellbeing. Many of the people who come to use Kinsey’s café say that they find her warm welcome the main reason they keep coming.
One nomination said having a space that is welcoming to those of different abilities is essential to the community and that they would struggle without it.
Siobhan Fennell, General Manager at Ritson Lodge, said: “We are always keen to honour those who are working hard for the community. Kinsey’s nominators said some lovely things about the work her café does.”
Happy Birthday Payshe
Early this month we helped Payshe celebrate her...... 21st birthday!......
We make sure that everyone is able to celebrate their birthday's in the way they choose.
