Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Last week at Shelburne Lodge Care Home, Shelburne Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare, we had the joy of welcoming a bunch of lovely rabbits!
These amazing little rabbits brought smiles and laughter to our residents and staff members. The joy on their faces was truly heart-warming!

Elvis' 90th Birthday!
What a fantastic week it has been at Shelburne Lodge as we celebrated the King of Rock 'n' Roll's 90th birthday in style!
The incredible Gary Roman took us back in time, performing some of Elvis' most iconic hits and keeping the spirit of the King alive. From "Jail House Rock" to "Suspicious Minds," it was a night filled with music, dancing, and unforgettable memories!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration. Your energy made the event even more memorable. Here's to keeping the legend of Elvis alive!
National Activity Providers & Professionals Week
It is National Activity Providers week, and we would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank our wonderful Life Enrichment and Activity Lead, Helen, for all the fun and laughter she brings to the home.
We are proud of the unique, inventive activities and meaningful moments she brings to our residents every single day. Helen is always going above and beyond her role and for this we are truly grateful.
As part of the week, Helen has been taking part in a whole host of events provided by NAPA, connecting and sharing ideas with teams across the country. Helen was presented with a Certificate by our General Manager, Diana, and a beautiful flower bouquet and cake from her colleagues and residents!
Cheese and WIne!
We enjoyed a delicious Cheese and Wine afternoon.
The theme was European cheese and wine. We tried a selection of different cheeses and wines whilst chatting and putting the world to rights.

Burns Night!
We had a fantastic time celebrating Burns Night at Shelburne Lodge with our very own arts and crafts session!
Our residents got creative by making beautiful tartans to make unique pieces that reflect Scottish heritage. It was a wonderful way to honour the tradition while having fun and expressing our creativity together.
Thank you to everyone who participated—your creations were truly inspiring! We can't wait for more fun activities ahead.
