Activities at South Grange Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Gillian Conway
Gill has worked for South Grange since 1996. Gill's role in the home is ensuring our residents enjoy a fulfilling quality of life. The programme that Gill and her colleagues provide is stimulating, creative and varied.
Gill enjoys the time she spends with residents and families. The team welcomes any suggestions made by residents and family members in relation to activities.

Life at South Grange Care Home
Christmas Carols from local Nursery Children
Children from our local nursery came to sing Christmas carols and the residents took great delight joining in. The residents were delighted to receive handmade Christmas cards from the children. What a wonderful morning we had!
Baking and Decorating Christmas Cakes
Our residents have had a great time putting the final touches to their Christmas Cakes before assembling them. What better way is there to get into the Christmas Spirit.
Christmas Cards
South Grange residents have had a lovely festive time writing Christmas cards to their friends, other residents and their families. We also have our very own Christmas Post Box right here in our home.
Christmas Photoshoot
South Grange had a Christmas photoshoot with a special visitor. Residents all joined in having their photographs taken with Santa in our lovely decorated home.
Donkey Sanctuary Manchester
Across our services, Residents enjoyed a fantastic virtual tour of the Donkey Sanctuary Manchester. Residents were thrilled to meet the lovely herd of donkeys, including Henry and his best friend Tiny Tim and to learn more about their every day care. They were introduced to the sanctuary’s work and the impact they make to the lives of donkeys in need worldwide. The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all.
Christmas Concert
The residents and staff enjoyed our Christmas concert with live music from our local musician Paul Sullivan. There was lots of singing along and dancing from residents, staff and the musician himself. A great afternoon had by all!
