Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Happy 8th Birthday to The Spires Care Home!

We marked the occasion with a fantastic birthday party filled with smiles, laughter and wonderful memories. Our residents, families, friends and staff all came together to celebrate this special milestone.

Fathers Day Celebration

We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon celebrating together with a trip to the driving range, where there were plenty of smiles, laughs, and a little friendly competition along the way.

Afterwards, we headed back to relax with a delicious steak and a cold beer while watching the sport on the television – the perfect way to spend Father’s Day!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We hope you all had a wonderful Father’s Day and created some great memories together

D DAY Dollies

The D-Day Dollies performed wartime-themed songs at the Spires. The residents sang along, smiled, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves

Mother’s Day afternoon tea today

The room was filled with smiles as everyone shared delicious treats, warm cups of tea, and wonderful conversation. It was a special afternoon celebrating all the amazing mums and mother figures who mean so much to us.

Fashion Week

What a fabulous day celebrating Fashion Week with our amazing team and residents!

All our staff took to the catwalk, strutting their stuff in their best dresses and outfits, while our residents enjoyed front-row seats as the official judges .

There were big smiles, lots of laughter, and some very serious judging going on! Thank you to everyone who took part and made it such a memorable event — style, confidence, and community spirit were all on full display

Rummikub Fever Has Arrived!

A huge thank you to Peter, who introduced us to the wonderful game of Rummikub – and it didn't take long before our residents were completely hooked!

For anyone who hasn't played before, Rummikub is a fun tile-based game where players race to be the first to use all of their numbered tiles by creating runs (like 1, 2, 3) or groups of the same number in different colours. It keeps the mind active, encourages strategic thinking, and, most importantly... sparks plenty of laughter!

Sunshine & Music

We had a wonderful morning today as a talented violinist came into our care home to perform for everyone. Residents enjoyed sitting out in our beautiful garden, listening to the lovely music in the sunshine. A truly special and relaxing day for al

Ponies and smiles

We were delighted to welcome the lollipop ponies to our community! It was fantastic to see so many residents coming out to say hello and support them.

The room was filled with creativity, colour, and plenty of smiles as everyone designed their own stunning arrangements. It’s always so special to see our community come together to share laughter, stories, and a little artistic flair.

Intergenerational fun and games!

Residents at The Spires were thrilled to be invited to the Lichfield Golf and Country Club creche to spend time with the little ones there.

A great time was had by all and the residents really enjoyed spending time with the babies bringing back memories of their own children and grandchildren.

Ice Cream on a sunny day!

What better way to cool down during this lovely hot weather than with a delicious ice cream!

Our residents and staff enjoyed a well-deserved treat when our wonderful local ice cream man paid us a visit. Residents were spoiled for choice, enjoying classic Mr Whippy ice creams , refreshing ice pops, and tasty ice cream sundaes !

Seeing everyone smiling, chatting, and enjoying their favourite treats made for a fantastic afternoon full of laughter and happiness.
