Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.
As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.

Easter Celebrations
Easter Sunday celebrations!
Residents and staff had a lovely day celebrating, creating many wonderful memories with one another. The team surprised the residents at lunch time with Easter chocolate eggs on the tables.
There was even an added bonus in our car park that everyone enjoyed seeing - a classic car!
Meet Charlie, the Donkey!
As part of our Easter celebrations, we had a very special guest visiting our home during Easter weekend.
Residents were overwhelmed with joy as they fed and stroked Charlie. He is a very calm, and friendly 22 years old donkey, happy to be stroked and receive lots of cuddles as he wondered through the home in and out of bedrooms.
There were lots of lots of funny stories about donkey rides at the seaside and some had ridden horses too. This amazing experience was delivered by Chris at Kelly's Donkeys who provide healthy and happy donkeys for rides, pet therapy and events.
Mobile Library!
We were delighted to welcome David with the Mobile Library, from Worcestershire County Council!
Worcester Mobile Library visits 160 villages in Worcestershire every 4 to 5 weeks; Our residents will benefit from a monthly visit, every first Monday of each month approximately at 10am; they can take books request and has wheelchair access.
It brings Library services to customers! Thank you very much for coming along, we can't wait to see you again in May!

We are delighted to announce that Ildiko, has been nominated the employee of the month! She has been nominated for providing the highest quality of care to our residents, and always going above and beyond to make sure residents are happy and well looked after!

"The Adventures of Alice" by Bredon School
Such a wonderful afternoon watching Bredon School production of "The Adventures of Alice"! - at Bushley Village Hall. Residents were absolutely thrilled by such a wonderful performance; they also got to meet with the children at the end and get to know more about each other, as well as to discuss about the school.
"So much work has been done behind the scenes for such a fantastic performance like this to be put together", residents said "you should be all very proud of yourselves!" Thanks again for inviting us to come along, and we are looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Delicious desserts
We've been taking some photos of recent served food at Tewkesbury Fields, but mainly delicious desserts, prepared on-site by our talented chefs!
Our meals are always prepared with the likes and dislikes of residents taken into consideration. We can guarantee that there is something for everyone on our daily menu. The residents have given some amazing feedback, and today we wanted everyone to see the selection that was served in the last few weeks by our talented team.
