Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Paula Lourenco
Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.
As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Out and about in the minibus!
It's been a very exciting week with 3 outings in our very own brand new minibus!
Residents enjoyed doing shopping and a cup of tea at Tewkesbury Garden Centre and Brown's coffee shop; attending the Knit n' Natter club at GL3 Community Hub, Churchdown, and today we visited Gloucester Staverton Airport, where an ice cream and coffee was enjoyed while watching the planes and helicopters.

MP Laurence Robertson visit
We had the pleasure of Politician Mr Laurence Robertson visiting Tewkesbury Fields Care Home.
On Friday, 21st April, we hosted an informal visit from Laurence Robertson MP and his wife, Mrs Anne Robertson.
Laurence enjoyed a tour of our refurnished luxury care home, and a cup tea with the residents and the team. It was a great opportunity for our residents to ask some questions and feel connected to the community.

Easter Picture Competition
For our recent Easter Picture competition, we were delighted to receive so many wonderful entries from different local schools, which residents enjoyed seeing displayed in our home!
We have now delivered prizes to the ones with the most voted pictures! Well done everyone, they all looked amazing, you're all very creative!
Thank you to all the schools that entered - great intergenerational activity!

1st year anniversary celebrations!
We celebrated our 1st anniversary!
We marked 1 year anniversary of Tewkesbury Fields Care Home. Back in 2022, we opened our doors on the 21st April after a full home refurbishment. We began to deliver the quality of care, support and fantastic services from that moment on.
We celebrated this day with residents, staff and families. It truly was a fantastic afternoon, full of fun and laughter, reminiscing, listening to the beautiful singing of Nick from Mini Concerts with "Kings of Swing" show, lots of dancing, celebrating with an afternoon tea, plenty of cake and a glass of Prosecco.
It really shows what a positive impact everyone makes in the home to one another, and what a jolly place Tewkesbury Fields is to be! Here's to the future!

Our own minibus is here!
We are very pleased to announce that we have now taken the delivery of our own brand new minibus!
Our General Manager, James Culley said "This is such wonderful news and means that residents will be able to go on more excursions and be able to assist with appointments much easier. We have a number of trained staff who are able to drive and use the tail lift of the minibus. Some of our residents have already started using the minibus and we hope to utilise this great tool as much as possible!"
