Activities at The Warren Care Home
Here at The Warren, our activities team are always very busy thinking of new ways to keep residents active, both physically and mentally. We have regular trips out in the minibus, both locally and further a field, including the London Eye and the Thames River Trip), at least once a week during the summer months. We also enjoy visits from PAT dogs and have professional exercise sessions and live entertainment, which are always popular.
Kirstie Bush
My name is Kirstie and I am lucky enough to be the Activities Coordinator here at The Warren.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities and leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of The Warren team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Lovely seeing Graham back at The Warren today...for his Country and Western show..the residents love him and his cheeky comedy too..or micky take on my behalf either way they love him.
Family Fun Day!
We had a lovely day the Sprowston Methodist church family fun day. We ate ice Creams, we had hot dogs and we had fun with garden games. It was fantastic.
The Goat Shed Kitchen
We had a fantastic trip to Fielding Cottage and The Goat Shed Kitchen. On arrival the goats were skipping in the field or sleeping with their mum.
We then went into the cafe for coffee. Coffee's done, the farmers market was the next visit, too many tasty goodies to choose from.
Fish and chips for lunch on return we had a wonderful day all round.
Royal Celebration
We all watched The Coronation with some residents. This was their 3rd Coronation they had seen, and for others, including staff, this was our first.
It was wonderful watching it with relatives as well as our residents. It really was a wonderful morning.
Happy 101st Birthday Daphne
A very happy 101st Birthday to the lovely Daphne. She had a lovely day at a private party with all her friends and family. She had the cake overloaded as her lovely daughter-in-law made her a cake as well as one made by our chef. Anyway...you can never have too much cake on your birthday, can you?
Day trip!
Another wonderful trip out today to Gorleston Cliffs. A trip down memory lane for 2 ladies in particular. One lady lived there all her married life and said "there is my beach" when she saw it again . Another lady used to holiday yearly with her husband, and was in raptures about being back again.
