Activities at The Warren Care Home
Here at The Warren, our activities team are always very busy thinking of new ways to keep residents active, both physically and mentally. We have regular trips out in the minibus, both locally and further a field, including the London Eye and the Thames River Trip), at least once a week during the summer months. We also enjoy visits from PAT dogs and have professional exercise sessions and live entertainment, which are always popular.
Kirstie Bush
My name is Kirstie and I am lucky enough to be the Activities Coordinator here at The Warren.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities and leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of The Warren team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at The Warren Care Home
International Flower Day
We celebrated International Flower day on Friday. What better way to mark it than arranging flowers for the home.
The ladies started by renewing the bud vases in the dining room then moved onto vases of flowers around the home.
They look absolutely beautiful and they make the home smell amazing too.
Barchester Olympics!!!
Welcome to the Barchester's Regional Olympics. Today we hosted a very special event.
Swimming by the Warren virtual pool.
In the lead we're Betty and Shirley who won the freestyle swimming relay. Great Fun!!!
Warren Choir
Mondays are made for singing and art...
We did more Warren Choir Practice today, and sung our little hearts out. We sung Tom Jones, we sung Roy Orbison, we sung Frank Sinatra and we nailed every one.
Crafty Monday
Crafty Mondays.....When I presented the ladies with a load of old clean towels and said this is our craft today they look bewildered and confused.
Happy New Year!!
We rung in the new year early while listening to the talented Josh Lee singing. We sung all the favourites and finished with Auld Lang Syne. We then popped open the Bucks Fizz and handed around some mini sausage rolls and some cheese shapes the ladies make yesterday. We then took our "Mobile Bar" to the rooms to wish all residents in their rooms a Happy New year. After, a cheers with all the staff and a thank you for all their hard work throughout the year.
Christmas Market!!
What an absolute fabulous day. A huge thank you to all that came to our First Christmas Craft Market.. The mulled wine was flowing, the mince pies were being munched and the craft stall tills were ringing!! It was such a wonderful atmosphere. Steve Carmel joined us in the afternoon and performed for us and did some fantastic Christmas songs to finish. What a all round wonderful day.
