Activities at The Warren Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Here at The Warren, our activities team are always very busy thinking of new ways to keep residents active, both physically and mentally. We have regular trips out in the minibus, both locally and further a field, including the London Eye and the Thames River Trip), at least once a week during the summer months. We also enjoy visits from PAT dogs and have professional exercise sessions and live entertainment, which are always popular.

Kirstie Bush
My name is Kirstie and I am lucky enough to be the Activities Coordinator here at The Warren.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities and leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of The Warren team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at The Warren Care Home

Foot spas all round
Who doesn’t like a little bit of pampering. Today we gave our residents a wonderful foot spa each. With relaxing oils and the warm beautifully smelling water, this was the perfect relaxation and the ladies loved it.

Global Beatles Day
We had a huge amount of fun creating this. For Global Beatles day we recreated the infamous Abbey Road cover and made our very own “Wroxham Road”. Personally I think our very own John, George, Paul and Ringo did it better but I might be biased.

Pie and Pint Day
The gentlemen expressed their wish to go out for a pie and a pint, so that's exactly what we did! We all piled into the minibus and headed to Acle Bridge, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by a pint or two of local ale. After lunch, we fed the ducks and were delighted to see a family of swans proudly showing off their adorable babies. What a wonderful day it was.

Get Barchester Moving
We kicked off this month's charity event, "Get Barchester Moving," with our General Manager, Elizabeth, starting off the event on our exercise bike. The aim was to cover 250km in our Bicycle Bash to raise money for the Barchester's Charity Foundation.
Well done to everyone who participated—friends, relatives, and even residents joined in, and together we surpassed our target by a significant margin. The money raised has been banked and will support a very worthy local community cause.

Trip Out for the Ladies
We had a wonderful trip to Norwich Cathedral, and the sun was shining, so we took a picnic along and ate it by the river. It was such a beautiful day, and to top it off, we fed the swans what we couldn’t finish. Absolute perfection.

Cocktails and Dancing
Friday night was for dancing and cocktails so we invited Josh Lee to entertain us and we had a wonderful time. From “New York, New York” to Sweet Caroline, we sung them all and danced to most of them. We had the bar open with cocktails and not forgetting night caps to finish.
