Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Dawn and Helen are at the centre of all the activities here at West Oak. They provide an interesting and varied activities schedule and ensure that there is something for everyone. They are passionate about the importance of activities and will go that extra mile just for a smile or a raised eyebrow, whether it's one-to-one time or a group session, inside or out, fun is had by all.

Ivy, a resident at West Oak, celebrated her 104th birthday in style. Ivy had an amazing day with her family and friends. It was a special occasion for everyone at the home.

Southsea Trip

Residents and staff members had a fun trip to the seaside. West Oaks team went to the Southsea to enjoy the beautiful nature and to taste ice-creams, and fish & chips. The sun was shining and there were smiles everywhere.

Jade achieved Health and Social Care Student of the Year accreditation. Big well done to Jade Bartlett, our super student from Basingstoke. She got congratulated by the General Manager Geoffrey Honour and Deputy Manager, Doina Hirta. It was a special day for everyone.

West Oak Care Home had a lovely themed afternoon. Staff and residents enjoyed a private serenade by the opera singers, who visited the home: Lazio and Christina. Everyone is looking forward to meeting them again.
