Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Life at White Lodge Care Home
White Lodge Donate Hampers to the Community
White Lodge have been delighted to support Purton and District Age Concern for the past few years by donating Christmas Hampers. The hampers will be distributed by volunteers from Age Concern over the next few days to older people in the local community. They look wonderful with activities assistant Lucy and residents putting them together over the past few days. Thank you to Peter Berry who is Chairman of Purton and District Age Concern for collecting the hampers and all that you do to support older people in the area.
Longleaze Primary School get Creative with Residents
White Lodge residents are really enjoying having so many visitors in the run up to Christmas, our latest being pupils from Longleaze Primary School who came along to get creative with residents. What a wonderful time we all had making sock snowmen, the generations worked so well together and what a delight the children were, you are all welcome at White Lodge any time.
Brownies Sing for Residents
White Lodge were delighted to welcome the Royal Wootton Bassett Brownies who sang beautifully for our residents. Thank you so much for coming along to White Lodge it was an absolute pleasure having you all visit.
Deck the Halls....
White Lodge could not have felt more Christmassy as we decorated the home we were accompanied by our two resident pianists. With beautiful music it was all hands on deck to turn White Lodge into a festive wonderland. The residents were such a help and we are sure you will agree the results look stunning.
Elf Fun!
The White Lodge team were fantastic today as they took part in Elf Day for the Alzheimer’s Society, the home was scattered with elves including four legged ones! What a great fun day we all had while raising funds and awareness for this vital cause. Pam still wore a pair of her stunning heels while Lucy's elf slippers look very comfortable for everyday wear going forward!
Christmas Fayre a Great Success
White Lodge recently held their Christmas fayre, with a lovely variety of stalls and even a bouncy castle! It was a great opportunity for some Christmas shopping and we would like to thank the stall holders and all those who attended. It was a great start to the festive season.
