Activities at Wilton Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Wilton Place Care Home

Summer Treats
What better way to revisit happy memories than to indulge in a 99 with a flake!
One of our amazing staff chased the ice-cream man and requested he pay us a visit at Wilton Place. Needless to say his visit was loved by residents, staff and visiting family members!
The ice-cream man will be visiting regularly during the summer months, his arrival will be heard by all.

Creepy Crawly Discovery
Are you brave enough to handle an animal with thousands of teeth?
Our courageous residents and their family did just that when we were visited by a Giant African Land Snail and his friends. We had close encounters with a snake, hissing cockroach, tarantula, giant millipede and a tree frog. A fact-filled, fun time was had by all and we look forward to the next visit from the fabulous Zoolab.

Anyone for tennis?
Wilton Place residents have been following the action at Wimbledon this week as well as demonstrating some super serves themselves. Coordination and teamwork make for a fun game and memories of playing at tennis clubs came flooding back.

Local Wilton History Trip
A fascinating trip to The Guild for our residents where we learned a little more about our local history. Similarities with the carpet making industry in Kashmir were made by one resident who had visited whilst living in India.
No trip would be complete without refreshments and we were truly spoiled by the friendly staff and delicious cakes at Weavers Cafe
The trip ended with the group trying to recall the 5 rivers which flow through Salisbury. Do you know?

Ladies Pampering Sessions
Here at Wilton Place we like to keep up appearances.
We start with luxurious bubble baths whilst listening to our favourite tunes.
Next maybe a massage or make up session.
Then on to the salon for nails and hairdos, any maybe a glass of fizz too!

Gardening Goodies and Giggles
This week Wilton Place residents have enjoyed harvesting wild strawberries and mint and potting geraniums and snap dragons to enrich their outside space. There's nothing like seeing your hard work coming to fruition.
