Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Ashchurch View Care Home
A special send-off for our manager.
The team got together to give our Home Manager Jade, a special send-off as she started her maternity leave. We all wished Jade the best, residents and staff can’t wait to meet the new arrival of the little boy!
Delivering Goodies to Ashchurch Primary School
We delivered gifts to the winners of our snowflake competition as well as some goodies to all the children at Ashchurch Primary School, who participated in this creative artwork.
It was lovely to see everyone and we look forward to further projects together.
Decorating for Christmas
Christmas has arrived at Ashchurch View Care Home!
Residents and the team have been busy getting the decorations in each community, outdoors and all across the home! Listening to Christmas songs and getting in the Christmas spirits. The team have gone the extra mile; we got everyone involved from housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, hairdresser, administration and activities; Amazing team work!
Elf Day
We’ve had a visit from two Elves. Apparently one was good, and the other the naughty Elf. Residents said that they were playing Christmas songs as they were going along the corridors pushing a trolley full of mince pies!
They’ve also said that the Elves were well behaved; delivered mince pies to them, said a few jokes and made them laugh a lot. Well done team, the mince pies were delicious!
Staff Christmas Choir
Ashchurch Christmas Staff Choir have been performing every Wednesday evening throughout the month. The team have been singing Christmas songs along the corridors and visiting residents in their bedrooms. Residents love seeing and listening to them! They have even joined in with a dance and singalong too!
Cheltenham Animal Shelter Visits
Residents and staff enjoyed meeting little 12-week-old kitten Claude from Cheltenham Animal Shelter.
It was a great time for residents to reminisce about their own pets, and a meaningful activity for who are cat lovers! There were many cuddles shared. Claude was a very black little kitten, very soft and gentle that just wants to play.
We all look forward to more visits.
