Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Ashchurch View Care Home

Carol Service From St Nicolas Church Choir
This afternoon we welcomed the choir from St Nicholas Church in Ashchurch who were also accompanied by the Roses Choir as they sang a wonderful selection of Christmas carols. Many residents and staff joined in well-known carols including "O'Little Town of Bethlehem" and also listened to readings.
The choir then enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies in the Ashchurch View cafe area. Thank you so much to the many choir members who gave their time to sing for the residents.

Alderman Knight School Sing for Residents
Ashchurch View had the absolute pleasure of welcoming children from Alderman Knight School to sing and meet the residents. The children sang classic Christmas songs including a real favourite Jingle Bells as well as new songs that will be part of the children's Christmas show. The residents absolutely loved having the children come in, thank you so much for bringing lots of smiles, we look forward to the next visit.

Happy 101st Birthday Mary!
The Ashchurch View hospitality team made Mary a special cake to celebrate her 101st birthday and the team were delighted to be part of such a special day. Mary's daughter and grandson visited today and the celebrations will continue this weekend with family and friends hosting a party at the home. It really isn't every day you get to celebrate turning 101 and Mary is truly amazing.

Incredible Birds
Ashchurch View welcomed Jenny from Wren’s Birds of Prey with their amazing birds. Residents greatly enjoyed learning about the owls and how import conservation is for the UK to continue to have such incredible birds living in the wild. It was such an incredible experience to be up so close, thank you for a great afternoon.

Monthly Blue Light Breakfast at Ashchurch View
Ashchurch View are always delighted to welcome our local emergency services at our monthly Blue Light Breakfast. We are all so grateful for the dedication of those who work for Gloucestershire Police, the NHS, Ambulance, fire and rescue services.
The next Blue Light Breakfast will be on Friday 24th November.

Time for Tea!
What could be more enjoyable than a traditional afternoon tea? Ashchurch View residents loved being sat together chatting whilst enjoying tea and cake. Thank you as always to our hospitality team who do make such a delicious variety of cakes.
