Activities at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Our dedicated activities team are constantly dreaming up new and wonderful ways to support and stimulate the residents we look after. From trips to crafts, parties to skittles, musical performances and quizzes, we include something for everyone and pride ourselves on including everyone into the fun. We have a brilliant team of volunteers who help us to deliver more trips, support us at events and pop in for a cup of tea and chat. We have pet therapy at least once per week (sometimes twice!) and we take advantage of every school break by holding large scale events that we can invite families with children to. We have been developing ties with our neighbours since we first opened and thanks to this, we have successfully brought together our residents with local churches, choirs, Brownies groups, and schools. Whatever your interests are, here at Braeburn, there's something for everyone.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Baytree Garden Centre
Residents went on a trip to visit Baytree Garden Centre. They explored the winter wonderland and even had a chance to feed the reindeer.
Halloween Fun
We invited the local children to visit us at Braeburn Lodge for some trick or treating. We had a huge amount of visitors and the residents were very busy giving out sweets to everyone. We also hosted a colouring competition and a competition for best costume.
Make Them Smile Charity
We hosted Make Them Smile charity fundraising event where we tested our new Alexa device. 'Alexa, Make our cream tea fundraising event a big success.' It worked! We managed to raise £250 with our homemade treats and make children smile.
Wow! What a party!
We celebrated one of our lovely residents' 90th birthday in style. Singing, dancing and a glass or two of red wine! We had a great time, enjoyed by all!
Autumn Newsletter
Food Bank Donations
Braeburn Lodge and Busy Bees nursery teamed up to collect donations for our local food bank. Today, we presented the food bank with donations that Braeburn and the nursery had collected over the past few weeks.
The residents also enjoyed some songs and nursery rhymes performed by the children.

Coffee Morning
We extend a warm invitation for you to join us at our monthly coffee morning, come along and make new friends - all welcome from 10.00 am on the first Tuesday of the month.
